The Irony of Charity…

Posted by josejump on December 15, 2007

Here are some interesting quotes to consider…

1. “I have walked passed homeless bums, Salvation Army bell ringers, and other lower forms of life, because they are not worthy of being pissed upon, much less worthy of getting a handout.”

This is because Michael Crook lives with homeless bums, gets things from the Salvation Army, and doesn’t have a proverbial “pot to piss in” himself.

2. “You mean people don’t donate out of the goodness of their hearts? People attack me because I have nevermade a donation in my life. Not once. Never will, either. Yet these same people make donations, but happily accept that receipt so they can not only take credit for the donation, but reap a reward in the form of a tax deduction. Now, there’s nothing wrong with that, but these people cannot then tout their supposed heroism. “

Michael has never made a donation in his life, because he has never had any money. However, he was happy to try (when he was in the Mormon church) to get into their welfare system. The patience finally ran out for them when he wasn’t willing to make an effort himself, to get off the “dole.”

One might also note the irony in him also trying to get a house from habitat for humanity, and for taking part in housing programs that cater to folks that are below the poverty line (Yes Mikey, I have friends all over.)

He needs no tax deductions because he pays virtually no taxes, and since he makes so little, he gets it all back.

If you choose to make a donation in his name this season, see if there is a prescription drug program that gives free meds to sociopaths, and give it to them… not in his name, but with his hotel room on it…

God Bless us, every one…

I like that idea about the drugs. I believe I can tell when he is on some sort of medication. And when he is not.

Mikey and money are complete strangers. He writes that if he had money, he’d be on some fast path to success in a career. Well that’s a mighty big if, but if that’s the best he can think of, that just proves he has no imagination.

Laughing, I think Mikey’s fast track to success was hoping Hillary wins. Hmmm, lost again eh Mikey. I’m sure whoever wins will have a welfare program even though it’s probably not going to be as generous as Hillary’s.

If Crook had any money, EFF would have it. Remember, he had to admit he was indigent to avoid getting slapped with a huge judgment.

Let’s take a realistic assessment of the Crook character. The guy is a junior college wash-out, a transient, can’t hold a regular job, is dirt poor, had his kids forcibly taken from him and put up for adoption, had his wife/wives leave him, couldn’t even make it into the army, has apparent gender/sexual identity issues, is physically malformed, and is universally reviled and ridiculed for his odd and disturbing words and deeds. How many different ways can God punish him?

It is obvious that he is slipping badly. The deterioration of his physical appearance and mental faculties is disturbing to say the least and strongly suggests he is on the verge of imploding (or, maybe, exploding). Not to be graphic or vulgar, but people who are that fucked up looking physically are usually messed up in other ways. The fact he apparently ignores his grooming and hygene bears that out. Most sound and stable people wash and cut their hair, and shave.

I think Delany is smart enough to know something is horribly amiss and life isn’t turning out good for him. Let’s be real; no one wakes up one day and suddenly decides they want to be an abject failure at everything they do, in a spectacular and very public way, have their family taken away from them, be poor and have to constantly move, and have no respect or friends. Isn’t it enough that he has to wake up and live with himself everyday? What can you possibly do to him that he hasn’t already done to himself? How much farther can he be knocked down? How much more can he take?

Beneath the dumbfuckery, therte is something very, very sad about Crook. He deserves our pity, and perhaps a small donation in his name to the United Negro College Fund.

    Merry Festivus!
